Delinquent land tax clerk, appointment, compensation (first classcharter counties).

141.330. The collector annually may appoint one delinquentland tax clerk in each office lawfully maintained by him in thecounty at a salary of four thousand eight hundred dollars peryear; except, that in first class counties not having a charterform of government the delinquent land tax clerks shall receivesalaries of not less than four thousand eight hundred dollars andnot more than five thousand four hundred dollars per year,payable monthly out of the treasury of the county from the samefunds from which the collector and his other employees are paid.
