Scholarships, how awarded--students applying to indicate preferences.

160.278. 1. The department of elementary and secondaryeducation shall develop criteria, with input from teachereducators in this state, to select which of the eligibleapplicants shall receive the scholarships made available undersections 160.276, 160.278, 160.281 and 160.283.

2. Students making application for the scholarships providedunder sections 160.276, 160.278, 160.281 and 160.283 shallindicate their first, second, and third preference as to which ofthe colleges and universities which have provided the necessarymatching funds to participate in the scholarship programestablished under sections 160.276, 160.278, 160.281 and 160.283they wish to attend. The department of elementary and secondaryeducation, in conjunction with those colleges and universitieswhich have provided the necessary matching funds, shall developprocedures for matching students eligible for the scholarshipsprovided under sections 160.276, 160.278, 160.281 and 160.283with such colleges and universities.
