Duties of treasurer of seven-director districts--liability.

164.181. The treasurer of the board of seven-directordistricts is the custodian of all moneys collected forliquidating any bonded indebtedness and interest on the same, andis responsible on his official bond for the safekeeping andproper appliance of the debt service fund received by him, andalso for any loss incurred or damage resulting from his failureto cancel any and all redeemed bonds, as required in section108.160, RSMo. He shall promptly pay the interest on bonds whendue, and pay off and cancel the bonds as rapidly as possible.
