Penalty for failure to pay valid check of seven-director district.

165.281. For every failure to pay a check drawn or order forpayment issued upon a depositary by the treasurer of aseven-director school district, when moneys and funds sufficientfor the payment thereof are in the depositary to the credit ofthe appropriate funds of the school district, the depositaryshall forfeit and pay to the holder of the check or the payees ofthe order for payment ten percent of the amount thereof, and theboard may revoke the order designating it as depositary.
