Liability of district treasurer.

165.291. The treasurer of each seven-director district is notresponsible for the loss of any funds and moneys of the districtthrough the negligence or default of any depositary; but nothingin sections 165.201 to 165.291 shall release the treasurer fromliability for any loss resulting from any official misconduct onhis part or from any responsibility for the funds and moneys ofthe school district until the time the depositaries are selectedand the funds and moneys deposited therein, or from liability forany misappropriation by him in any manner of funds and moneys.
