167.227. 1. A pupil may attend a summer school program ina public school district other than his district of residence ifaccepted by the district offering the program. Such summerprograms may be advanced, academic or remedial programs butshall not include those programs funded wholly by federalmoneys. No pupil shall attend summer school classes in morethan one district during any one summer.
2. For purposes of funding summer school programs, eachdistrict shall either consider all nonresident studentsresidents for purposes of receiving state aid or consider allnonresident students nonresidents for purposes of collectingtuition. Any pupil attending a summer school program in apublic school district other than his district of residenceshall for purposes of state aid for the summer term beconsidered a resident of the district in which he is attending.
3. Any public school district may cooperate with otherpublic school districts to make optimum use of faculty andresources in providing summer school options for pupils in alldistricts. Nothing in this section shall prohibit schools fromestablishing contractual services for certain summer schoolstudents.
