167.324. 1. Area vocational learning centers shall, inaddition to any services currently being provided, provideextended day services for three hours during the evening orother times convenient to the qualifying student for the purposeof furnishing alternative education to those who qualify undersections 167.320 to 167.332 and enroll in such services.
2. Area vocational learning centers shall be responsiblefor providing academic and vocational assessment, which mayinclude, but is not limited to, use of the Lindamood AuditoryConceptualization Test and Auditory Discrimination in DepthProgram, of those persons who are eligible for alternativeeducation services under sections 167.320 to 167.332. Areavocational centers shall also provide career awareness programsand individual and small group counseling.
3. Basic skills instruction, which may include, but is notlimited to, the use of the Lindamood Auditory ConceptualizationTest and Auditory Discrimination in Depth Program, may beprovided by the area vocational learning centers for students onan individual or small group basis to ensure success in thestudent's chosen educational or vocational program.
4. Area vocational learning centers may provide extendedservices to students enrolled in the alternative educationprogram, including assistance in securing employment orcontinuing education.
