Correction of errors in benefits--adjustment.

169.080. Should any change or error in records result in anymember or beneficiary receiving from the retirement system moreor less than he would have been entitled to receive had therecords been correct, the board of trustees shall have the powerto correct such error and, as far as practicable, may adjust thepayments in such manner that the actuarial equivalent of thebenefit to which such member or beneficiary was correctlyentitled shall be paid.
