No discrimination in hiring based on lack of a graduate degree, when.

173.475. Notwithstanding any provision of law or policy of a publicinstitution of higher education to the contrary, no public college oruniversity, as defined in section 173.355, shall reject an applicant for afaculty position based solely on the applicant having not earned a graduatedegree, provided that the applicant has earned an undergraduatebaccalaureate degree and has served for at least eight years in the generalassembly.
