Trustees of Jasper County Junior College district and MissouriWestern Junior College district, change in duties and powers of.

174.266. 1. The board of trustees of the Jasper CountyJunior College district and the board of trustees of the MissouriWestern Junior College district shall make an orderly transfer ofall the property of the junior college districts, including butnot limited to land and capital improvements to the state ofMissouri on July 1, 1977, except that, the junior collegedistricts shall retire all bonds for capital improvementscommenced before the effective date of this act by levying a taxwithin their respective districts as provided in sections 178.770to 178.890, RSMo, combined with funds available from any othersources. After all bonded indebtedness has been retired, eachjunior college district shall cease to exist, and no levy shallbe made for junior college purposes.

2. After July 1, 1977, the board of trustees of the JasperCounty Junior College district and the board of trustees of theMissouri Western Junior College district shall have no dutiesother than those specified by sections 174.241, 174.261 and174.266 and shall not exercise any powers previously held.After September 28, 1979, the members of the board of trustees ofthe Jasper County Junior College district and the members of theboard of trustees of the Missouri Western Junior College districtshall continue in office for the balance of their terms.Vacancies on said boards of trustees will be filled byappointment by the boards of regents of the respective colleges.
