State board of education to cooperate with federal authorities.

178.440. The state board of education is designated as thestate board of education as provided in the acts of congress, ischarged with the duty and responsibility of cooperating with thefederal board for vocational education in the administration ofthe acts, and is given all power necessary to such cooperation.The state board of education in submitting plans for the trainingof teachers, supervisors and directors of agricultural subjects,and teachers of trade and industrial and home economic subjects,as required in the acts of congress, shall provide that theyshall be trained in the state colleges and state teacherscolleges of Missouri, the University of Missouri, or in a schoolmaintained in a school district of a city of seventy-fivethousand or more inhabitants, insofar as their training can beprovided in schools.
