Purposes of sheltered workshops.

178.910. 1. A sheltered workshop shall provide a controlledwork environment and a program designed toward enabling thehandicapped person enrolled to progress toward normal living andto develop, as far as possible, his capacity, performance andrelationship with other persons.

2. A sheltered workshop shall, so far as possible, providework experience sufficiently diverse to accommodate the needs ofeach of the handicapped persons enrolled.

3. A sheltered workshop shall coordinate and integrate itsservices with all community agencies for the benefit of itsemployees, and whenever practicable make use of the servicesavailable from these agencies.
