Local residency requirement prohibited.

189.050. 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to thecontrary, no hospital in this state receiving state assistanceunder the provisions of sections 189.010 to 189.085 shall denyany services and care described in section 189.010 to aprospective patient who is a resident of this state, solely forthe reason that the prospective patient* does not reside in thecity, county, or hospital district in which the hospital islocated.

2. Any hospital which violates the provisions of subsection1 shall not be entitled to any funds under the provisions ofsections 189.010 to 189.085.
