192.650. 1. The department of health and senior services shallestablish and maintain a cancer information reporting system to collect datarequired for the receipt of federal grant funds pursuant to the CancerRegistries Amendment Act of 1992 (42 U.S.C. 280e, et seq.), as amended.
2. The director of the department shall promulgate rules and regulationsspecifying the malignant neoplasms which shall be reported and accompanyinginformation to be reported in each case. Such rules and regulations shallprovide for collection of the following data:
(1) For inpatient hospital settings, the data items collected by thedepartment of health and senior services as of August 28, 1999, and additionaldata items required to be collected as a condition of federal funding forstate cancer registries pursuant to the Cancer Registries Amendment Act of1992 (42 U.S.C. 280e, et seq.), as amended; and
(2) For outpatient hospital settings, physician offices, pathologylaboratories, ambulatory surgical centers, residential care facilities andassisted living facilities, intermediate care facilities, skilled nursingfacilities, and free-standing cancer clinics and treatment centers, the dataitems required to be collected as a condition of federal funding for statecancer registries pursuant to the Cancer Registries Amendment Act of 1992 (42U.S.C. 280e, et seq.), as amended. Reports of malignant neoplasms, exclusiveof nonmelanomatous cutaneous malignancies, shall be filed with the directorwithin six months of the diagnosis or treatment. The department directorshall prescribe the form and manner in which the information shall bereported.
