Medical staff membership to be considered on individual basis,discrimination prohibited.

197.700. In the selection of medical staff members licensedunder chapter 334, RSMo, no medical staff bylaws, departmentalbylaws or hospital licensed under this chapter shall discriminateagainst any practitioner of the healing arts who holds a licenseto practice medicine and surgery in this state for reasons basedsolely upon the practitioner's branch of the healing arts or theschool or health care facility in which the practitioner receivedmedical schooling, postgraduate training or certification if suchmedical schooling or postgraduate training was accredited by theAmerican Osteopathic Association or the American MedicalAssociation. Each applicant for medical staff membership shallbe considered on an individual basis pursuant to objectivecriteria applied equally to each applicant.
