Certain facilities exempt from construction standards, when--reportby department.

198.058. Any facility licensed under chapter 197, RSMo, orchapter 198, which is in operation before September 28, 1979, orwhose application is on file, or whose construction plans havebeen approved by the department before September 28, 1979, shallbe exempt from construction standards developed by the departmentsubsequent to the date such facility became first licensed andincluding those construction standards developed after September28, 1979, for buildings or other physical units which were inexistence or under construction on September 28, 1979. Suchfacilities shall be licensed in accordance with all otherstandards and regulations promulgated under sections 198.003 to198.096. The department shall survey all such facilities andshall prepare a report for submission to the general assembly onactions and standards necessary to bring such facilities intofull compliance. The report shall be filed with the speaker ofthe house and the president pro tem of the senate by January 1,1982.
