Civil restitution of Medicaid funds, when.

198.171. The director of the fraud investigation divisionmay seek civil restitution of any moneys dispensed under Medicaidfor services provided to any resident or under section 208.030,RSMo, which have been misappropriated, fraudulently obtained, orconstitute overpayments. The authority of the director of thefraud investigation division under sections 198.139 to 198.186 toseek civil restitution does not diminish the authority of thedepartment to seek restitution.
