Definitions.

198.505. For the purposes of sections 198.500 to 198.515,"Alzheimer's special care unit" or "Alzheimer's special care program" meansany facility as defined in section 198.006, or any home health agency,adult day care center, hospice or adult foster home that locks, secures,segregates or provides a special program or special unit for residents witha diagnosis of probable Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder, toprevent or limit access by a resident outside the designated or separatedarea; and that advertises, markets or otherwise promotes the facility asproviding specialized Alzheimer's or dementia care services.
