207.055. 1. Within thirty days after August 13, 1972, thecounty commission of each county may appoint two additionalmembers of the county family services commission, and suchmembers shall be in addition to those members required by theprovisions of section 207.050. Such members shall be residentsof the county, one from each of the two major political partiesand shall have been actual welfare recipients, and shall beappointed for terms of two years. If at any time these membersremove their residence from the county, their office shall bevacant and another person shall be appointed for the remainder oftheir term.
2. The members appointed pursuant to the provisions of thissection shall have the same rights, powers, duties andresponsibilities as the other members of the commission, and allreferences of any kind to the county family services commissionshall be to the commission as composed of six members instead offour.
