Care and detention of certain children by county, contribution bystate, when.

211.156. 1. Whenever a county shall own or operate an institution asa home for neglected and delinquent children, the state of Missouri shallpay to the county toward the care and maintenance of each of thesechildren, upon an order or voucher submitted to the state by the circuitcourt fourteen to thirty-seven dollars per day, subject to appropriations.

2. Whenever a child is detained as provided in section 211.151, thestate shall pay to the county governing body toward the care andmaintenance of each such child upon a voucher or order submitted to thestate by the circuit court the amount specified in this subsection. Whensubmitting the voucher or order to the state, the circuit court shallcertify that the child was detained only in a manner as provided by section211.151. The amount to be paid to the county governing body is fourteen tothirty-seven dollars per day, subject to appropriations.
