Federal funds, authority to receive--applications for funds,procedure.

217.045. 1. The department shall have the authority to enter intoarrangements with the federal government for the receipt and disbursementof federal funds under any applicable federal guidelines, subject toappropriations, to carry out the purposes of the department and shallsubmit such plans and reports as may be required.

2. The director shall approve such applications for federalassistance administered through the department as may be consideredadvisable after consultation with the appropriate division director.

3. The department shall also have the authority to receive anddisburse such other funds as may be appropriated and directed by thegeneral assembly.
