Division director, power of appointment of certainpersonnel--qualifications--to be full-time employee.

217.160. 1. Any division director, subject to thesupervision of the director, shall exercise for the division thepowers and duties of an appointing authority under chapter 36,RSMo, to employ personnel, for the performance of the duties andresponsibilities of the division.

2. The division director shall be a person of recognizedcharacter and integrity and shall have education, training andexperience appropriate to the responsibilities of the division ofwhich he is the director. He shall be a citizen of the UnitedStates but need not be a citizen of the state of Missouri at thetime of his appointment.

3. The director shall be a full-time employee of thedivision and shall hold no other regular, compensated positionwhile serving as a director of the division.
