Transportation expenses, how paid.

217.470. The expense of transporting any offender betweenthe place of his confinement and the county wherein an untriedindictment, information or complaint is pending shall be paid bythe county. It shall be the duty of the sheriff to transport theoffender, and he shall be compensated for such service asprovided by section 57.290, RSMo.
