221.060. Every sheriff and jailer, and other person orpersons whatsoever, to whose custody or keeping any person orpersons shall be committed by virtue of any writ or process, orfor any criminal offense, except on conviction for felony, shallmake and post reasonable rules for the operation of the jail, andshall permit any such person committed to his care to obtain anduse food and bedding at such person's expense within those rulesas may be convenient and necessary for the proper operation ofthe jail or confinement facility.
