State transportation department building the official residence ofthe state highways and transportation commission--maintenance andrepair in charge of board of public buildings.

226.110. The state transportation department buildingshall constitute the official residence of the state highways andtransportation commission. Such building shall be under thecharge and control of the board of public buildings, which isdirected and empowered to provide for the proper maintenance andrepair of said building, and to preserve the same from waste anddamage from fire and other causes. The board of public buildingsmay appoint and employ janitors, elevator operators and watchmennecessary for the proper use, maintenance, management and controlof said building. The cost of material, labor and repairnecessary for the maintenance and use of said building shall bepaid by the state treasurer out of the state highway departmentfund, upon warrants based upon bills of particulars and voucherscertified by the board of public buildings.
