Dissolution of road district--petition--notice.

233.425. Whenever a petition, signed by the owners of a majority of theacres of land owned by residents of the county residing within the districtorganized under the provisions of sections 233.320 to 233.445, shall be filedwith the county commission of any county in which such district is situated,setting forth the name of the district and the number of acres owned by eachsigner of such petition and the whole number of acres in such district, thecounty commission shall have power, if in its opinion the public good will bethereby advanced, to disincorporate such road district. No such road districtshall be disincorporated until notice is published in at least one newspaperof general circulation in the county where the district is situated for fourweeks successively prior to the hearing of such petition.
