Board to fix rate of taxation.

235.170. To levy and collect taxes as provided in section235.160, the board shall in each year determine the amount ofmoney necessary to be raised by taxation, and shall fix a rate oflevy which, when levied upon every dollar of the taxable tangibleproperty within the district as shown by the last completedassessment, and with other revenues, will raise the amountrequired by the district annually to supply funds for paying theexpenses of organization and the costs of the district, whichrate of levy shall not exceed forty cents on the one hundreddollars assessed valuation.
