Securities of authority recognized as lawful investments.

238.050. Any notes, bonds or other instruments in writingissued by the Kansas City area transportation authority pursuantto the provisions of the aforesaid compact are hereby recognizedto be securities in which all state and municipal officers andbodies, all banks, bankers, trust companies, savings banks,savings associations, building and loan associations, investmentcompanies, and all other persons carrying on a banking business,all insurance companies, insurance associations, and otherpersons carrying on an insurance business, and alladministrators, executors, guardians, trustees and otherfiduciaries and all other persons whatsoever who are now or whomay hereafter be authorized to invest in bonds or otherobligations of state of Missouri may properly and legally investany funds, including capital, belonging to them, or within theircontrol; and the said obligations are hereby recognized assecurities which may properly and legally be deposited with andshall be received by any state or municipal officer or agency forany purpose for which the deposit of bonds or other obligationsof this state is now or may hereafter be authorized.
