Secretary to keep record of warrants issued.

246.120. Said tax anticipation warrants shall be deliveredto the payee or payees for the purposes enumerated herein, by anorder of the board, in total or in part as necessary, and anappropriate record thereof kept by the secretary and a dulycertified copy thereof by him delivered to the treasurer, whoshall pay without further order of the board, upon dueendorsement and presentment by the record holder thereof or saidholder's legal transferee upon satisfactory proof being made tothe treasurer thereof the said tax anticipation warrants andinterest coupons as due, out of any maintenance fund of thedistrict; provided, that in the event there is not sufficientfunds to pay all or a part of such tax anticipation warrants andinterest coupons upon presentment, and treasurer shall so noteand said indebtedness shall bear interest at the rate of sixpercent per annum from time of such presentment and notationuntil paid.
