Districts may conform to federal law in refunding, extending time ofpayment.

246.170. All drainage and levee districts heretofore or thatmay be hereafter organized under any law of this state are herebyauthorized and empowered to do each and every act necessary to beby them performed in order to comply with or avail themselves ofthe provisions of any legislation now enacted or that may behereafter enacted by the Congress of the United States ofAmerica, having for its purpose the refunding or extending thetime of payment of the bonded indebtedness of any drainage orlevee district or otherwise lightening the present burdens oftaxation resting on the lands and property in such districts.
