Hearing, when--notice by publication.

247.290. Immediately after the filing of such petition orany amended petition changing the boundaries the court whereinsuch petition is filed or the judge thereof in vacation shall byorder, fix a time and place not less than thirty days nor morethan sixty days after the petition is filed for a hearingthereon, and thereupon the circuit court shall cause notice bypublication to be made of the filing of the petition and thependency of the action and of the time and place of the hearingthereon. The circuit clerk shall also forthwith cause a copy ofsaid notice to be mailed by registered mail to the governing bodyof each public water supply district, city, town, village orother political subdivision having territory within the proposedboundaries of the proposed district, and to the county commissionof the county affected.
