Cities having power of condemnation for sewers and waterworks also tohave right to enter private lands for surveying.

250.232. Any city, town or village operating a seweragesystem or waterworks that has the power to condemn land or otherproperty within the city, town or village for right-of-way fortrunk sewers or for any other improvement or structure deemednecessary or advisable in connection with the sewerage andtreatment system shall also have the authority to enter uponprivate lands to survey land or other property before exercise ofthe condemnation powers.
