Dissolution of regional commission, procedure.

251.440. Upon receipt of certified copies of resolutions recommendingthe dissolution of a regional planning commission adopted by the governingbodies of a majority of the local units in the region, including the countycommission of any county, part or all of which is within the region, andupon a finding that all outstanding indebtedness of the regional planningcommission has been paid, including moneys owed to any retirement plan orsystem in which the commission participates and has pledged to pay for theunfunded accrued liability of its past and current employees, and allunexpended funds returned to the local units which supplied them, or thatadequate provision has been made therefor, the governor shall issue acertificate of dissolution of the commission which shall thereupon cease toexist.
