State treasurer to be custodian of fund, duties, powers.

253.530. The state treasurer shall be the custodian of allmoneys, bonds, securities or interests and rights thereindeposited in the state treasury to the credit of this fund. Allsuch moneys, bonds, securities or interests and rights thereinshall be invested by the state treasurer in the same manner asother state funds are invested. He and his sureties areresponsible on his official bond for the faithful performance ofhis duties in the safekeeping of all money or property of thefund as provided in sections 253.510 and 253.520 for thedisbursement of such money or the proceeds from such property bythe Missouri department of natural resources.
