Department authorized--director, how appointed, qualifications.

261.010. There is created a "Department of Agriculture", themain office of which shall be in Jefferson City in quartersprovided by the division of design and construction. Thegovernor, by and with the advice and consent of the senate, shallappoint a director of the department of agriculture who shall bea practical farmer, well versed in agricultural science and whoshall serve at the pleasure of the governor. The director shallbe in charge of the department of agriculture.
