261.095. Foreign market development--director's duties and powers.
261.095. 1. The director of the Missouri department ofagriculture shall have the primary responsibility for foreignmarket development for agricultural products.
2. Within the limit of funds specifically appropriated forthat purpose, the director is authorized to establish andmaintain offices in foreign countries for the purpose ofpromoting international markets for Missouri agriculturalproducts. Such offices operated by the department of agriculturemay be disestablished by the director as he deems appropriate.
3. The director may place an agricultural marketingspecialist in state offices operated in foreign countries byother state agencies.
