University may receive and disburse federal grants for extensionwork.

262.553. The assent of the general assembly havingheretofore been given to the provisions and requirements of theAct of Congress of May 8, 1914, and amendments thereto (7U.S.C.A. Sec. 341 et seq.), the University of Missouri isauthorized and empowered to receive and expend the grants ofmoney appropriated under said acts and all acts amendatory orsupplementary thereto, together with any money appropriated bythe state or received from any source whatsoever for the aid ofextension work in the counties of Missouri, and to cooperate withthe United States Department of Agriculture, other agencies, andwith persons and organizations in the conduct thereof, all inaccordance with the terms and conditions expressed in said actsof congress. The treasurer of the University of Missouri ishereby empowered to receive the funds appropriated by said actsof congress and any money appropriated by the state or receivedfrom any source whatsoever for said purposes. Any funds acceptedby the university for the purpose of aiding the extension work asprovided in sections 262.550 to 262.620 subject to conditions anduse thereof, shall be received by the university subject to suchconditions and the money shall be expended by it for suchpurposes and in accordance with the terms of the grant or gift.
