Recommendations by council--administration of county's share ofcosts--council to receive property.

262.590. The council in any county shall have the right andduty to:

(1) Make recommendations and suggestions to the universityconcerning the extension program;

(2) Make recommendations and suggestions to the universityconcerning the appointment or removal of extension personnel;

(3) Arrange for and administer the county's share of thecost of the extension services in the area over which the councilhas jurisdiction;

(4) Receive by way of gift, purchase, or otherwise acquire,in its own name, real or personal property with the right to holdand to sell and convey title to any such property; provided noreal estate not reasonably required for the administration of theextension program shall be held by the council for a periodlonger than two years.
