Illegal branding a felony, how punished.

268.151. Any person who shall brand, attempt to brand, or cause to bebranded the animals of another, or who shall efface, deface, or obliterate orattempt to efface, deface, or obliterate any brand upon any animal or animalsof another, or who shall brand, attempt to brand, or cause to be branded therecorded brand of another on any animal shall be guilty of a felony and shallbe imprisoned by the department of corrections for not more than five years.
