Transportation of dead animals prohibited, exceptions.

269.030. No person, except one holding a permit totransport the bodies of dead animals on public highways of thisstate, or who is acting for such permittee, or who is otherwiseexcepted by the provisions of this chapter, shall transport onthe highways or public roads of this state the bodies of deadanimals without first obtaining a permit for that purpose. Thestate veterinarian shall keep a record of all applications forpermits, showing all permits issued, denied, revoked, orotherwise disciplined by him, and such other facts as he mayprescribe.
