Reclamation by owner before posting, how.

271.290. If, after the setting up of notices, the ownerclaim and prove any stray legally taken up before the same shallhave been posted, he shall be entitled to receive the same onpayment of the fees allowed the taker-up for taking up suchstray, and for posting up notices thereof, and a reasonablecompensation for keeping the same; but the taker-up shall not beentitled to compensation for keeping same for more than one dayprevious to setting up such notices.
