Compliance with provisions obligatory--penalty for violation.

287.740. Any person or persons who shall in this state actor assume to act as agent for any such insurance carrier whoseauthority to do business in this state has been suspended underthis chapter, while such suspension remains in force, or shallneglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of thischapter obligatory upon such person or party, or who shallwillfully make a false or fraudulent statement of the business orcondition of any such insurance carrier, shall be deemed guiltyof a misdemeanor and on conviction thereof shall be punished by afine of not less than five hundred dollars nor more than fivethousand dollars or by imprisonment in the county jail for notless than one week nor more than one year, or by both such fineand imprisonment.
