Ventilation of mines.

293.550. 1. The operator of every underground mine exceptcoal mines shall provide and maintain an air current sufficientto remove smoke and noxious gases and to insure the health andsafety of every employee.

2. The ventilation required by this section shall becontrolled by natural or mechanical appliances; or both if thedirector deems it to be necessary.
