301.464. Any person who served in the Korean War and was honorablydischarged from such service may apply for special motor vehicle licenseplates, either solely or jointly, for issuance for any vehicle the personowns, either solely or jointly, other than an apportioned motor vehicle orcommercial motor vehicle licensed in excess of eighteen thousand pounds.Any such person shall make application for the special license plates on aform provided by the director of revenue and furnish such proof of servicein the Korean War and status as an honorably discharged veteran as thedirector may require. Upon presentation of the proof of eligibility andannual payment of the fee required for personalized license platesprescribed by section 301.144, and other fees and documents which may berequired by law, the director shall then issue license plates bearingletters or numbers or a combination thereof as determined by the advisorycommittee established in section 301.129, with the words "KOREAN WARVETERAN" in place of the words "SHOW-ME STATE". Such plates shall alsobear an image of the Korean War service medal. The plates shall be clearlyvisible at night and shall be aesthetically attractive, as prescribed bysection 301.130. There shall be no limit on the number of license platesany person qualified under this section may obtain so long as each set oflicense plates issued under this section is issued for vehicles ownedsolely or jointly by such person. License plates issued pursuant to thissection shall not be transferable to any other person except that anyregistered co-owner of the motor vehicle may operate the motor vehicle forthe duration of the year licensed in the event of the death of thequalified person.
