Search warrants, water patrol may request application for and serve,when.

306.168. In the investigation of an accident or crime that wasoriginally committed within such patrol officer's jurisdiction, as setforth in section 306.165, the members of the water patrol may request thatthe prosecuting or circuit attorney apply for, and members of the waterpatrol may serve, search warrants anywhere within the state of Missouri,provided the sheriff of the county in which the warrant is to be served, orhis designee, shall be notified upon application by the applicant of thesearch warrant.
