Certificate of title for outboard motors and vessels in names of twoor more persons, presumptions--exception.

306.455. When the director of revenue issues a certificateof title for an outboard motor or vessel in the names of two ormore persons, it shall be presumed that ownership of the outboardmotor or vessel is held by the persons shown on the title asjoint tenants with right of survivorship or as tenants by theentirety if the owners are husband and wife, unless at the timethe application for a certificate of title is filed with thedirector of revenue, the application states that ownership of theoutboard motor or vessel is held as tenants in common.
