Lien for license.

318.040. The state, county, city or town, as the case maybe, shall have a lien, and a lien is hereby created in theirfavor, upon any such table mentioned in section 318.010, to theamount of the licenses thereon; and if any owner or keeperthereof shall fail or refuse to pay to the respective collectorsor other persons authorized to collect the same, the amounts ofthe licenses due the state, county, city or town, within ten daysafter such table shall be set up, then it shall be the duty ofthe respective collectors or persons authorized to collect suchlicenses to levy upon and seize such table or tables, and sellthe same at public auction, for cash, to pay the amount of saidlicenses.
