Application eligibility, when.

324.130. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 324.125 to324.183, prior to but not beyond January 1, 2001, a person is eligible tomake application to the board and receive a license, if the person isactively engaged in the practice of perfusion consistent with sections324.125 to 324.183 and if the person meets one of the followingrequirements:

(1) The person, on August 28, 1997, was operating cardiopulmonarybypass systems during cardiac surgical cases in a licensed health carefacility as the person's primary function and had been operating thesystems for at least the immediately preceding eight years; or

(2) The person has at least six years experience, within the lasteight years, operating cardiopulmonary bypass systems during cardiacsurgical cases in a licensed health care facility as the person's primaryfunction.
