327.261. 1. The professional license issued to every professionalengineer in Missouri, including certificates of authority issued tocorporations as hereinafter provided, shall be renewed on or before thelicense renewal date, provided that the required fee is paid. The boardmay establish, by rule, continuing education requirements as a condition torenewing the license of a professional engineer, provided that the boardshall not require more professional development hours than that which isrecommended by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering andSurveying or its successor organization, but not to exceed thirty suchhours. The license of any professional engineer or the certificate ofauthority of any such corporation which is not renewed within three monthsof the certificate renewal date shall be suspended automatically, subjectto the right of the holder of such suspended certificate to have thecertificate reinstated within nine months of the date of suspension if thereinstatement fee is paid. Any license or certificate of authoritysuspended and not reinstated within nine months of the suspension date, asabove provided, shall expire and be void and the holder of the expiredlicense or certificate shall have no rights or privileges under suchlicense or certificate; but any person or corporation whose license orcertificate has expired as aforesaid may within the discretion of theboard, upon payment of the required fee, be relicensed or reauthorizedunder such person's or such corporation's original license number.
2. Each application for the renewal of a license or of a certificateof authority shall be on a form furnished to the applicant and shall beaccompanied by the required fee; but no renewal fee need be paid by anyprofessional engineer over the age of seventy-five.
