332.306. Distance dental hygienist education program to be established by department of economic development--distance dental hygienist education program defined.

Distance dental hygienist education program to be establishedby department of economic development--distance dental hygienisteducation program defined.

332.306. 1. As used in this section, "distance dental hygienisteducation program" shall mean a training program for dental hygienistsaccredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American DentalAssociation that allows didactic and clinical course work to be completedoffsite of the educational institution, including a dental facilityregulated under this chapter, if such offsite location is a part of anaccredited dental hygiene program through the Commission on DentalAccreditation of the American Dental Association as an extended campusfacility.

2. The department of economic development shall contract with aninstitution of higher education, which meets the standards established bythe Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association,to establish a distance dental hygienist education program.
